The whole 'money for access' thing has been going on for years now with Cameron. The Leadership group or something like that? Christ, my memory...

Anyway

Figures show the PM was the most successful party fundraiser, declaring £505,000 of donations.

Trust-fund heir Chancellor George Osborne received £307,000, including £100,000 from former Goldman Sachs banker Simon Robertson and £37,500 from hedge fund manager Michael Hintze.

Quote:
Justice Secretary Chris Grayling declared £335,000 in cash, hospitality and travel.

And he received £80,000 worth of “staff costs” from a Surrey vineyard.

Defence Secretary Philip Hammond was treated to flower show tickets worth £2,300 by Japan Tobacco International.

Michael Gove declared nearly £224,000 of donations, as well as £150,000 from a venture capitalist and opera tickets worth £888.

Other Cabinet ministers to receive donations and perks include veteran Ken Clarke, Environment Secretary Owen Paterson, Work and Pensions Secretary Iain Duncan Smith, Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt and Foreign Secretary William Hague.

Labour MP Steve McCabe said our findings called into question the PM’s attacks on Labour’s funding from the unions. He said: “Here we have cast-iron proof who is funding the Tory Party.

“These figures prove they are the party of big business and vested interests, benefiting from millions of pounds over the years.”

I hope that they paid tax on those benefits in kind. Probably not.
