I doubt it will get better for a long time. The government is clueless because none of their models predicted the crisis, and all have predicted far greater growth since and they are still at a loss as to why it is still struggling.

Where do they get their information? I haven't had a pay rise is nearly 5 years.

It's a bit hard to draw any useful conclusion from such a blanket figure. You need to look at the distribution of change in the population, not just the headline number.

Just seen a report on the news, the number of people in Germany with at least 2 jobs has risen from 2% in 2003 to nearly 10% today.

It won't get better as people are moving in who'll accept lower wages, driving the average wages down.
This is doubly true with unemployment being so high and people being desperate for work.
