Fish is an utter dick, but it still doesn't justify what goes on with him or anyone else. Idiots do it because there's so little chance of any blowback on them personally.

Surely they need to analyse why this is happening? If people buy your game and you subsequently pee them off by doing something to the gameplay, you're gonna get a backlash. Imagine Ferrari managing to remotely limit all cars to 70mph. You're gonna get people who are hacked off and want to do something about it. In the general population, there will always be those two standard deviations away from the mean who will do something extreme.

I do think that such criticism is ridiculous. If they have valid complaints write to the developer/publisher and make your own suggestions.

How many people nowadays write letters? It's typically via email at the most. Forums are where most people rant and rave.

Yes but even email a criticism to the publisher and make constructive criticism.
