They're concerned about their NSA paymasters more likely http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2013 ... rd-snowden I mean that's how corrupt it's gotten, 'we'll help you breach your country's laws for cash and a cock up the arse'. |

It is more about you scratch my back and I will scratch yours. They spy on each others citizens, which allows deniability for each nation about spying on their own citizens. Also the NSA requests are top secret. They are not even allowed to admit even receiving them and or what they did under US law. These might be FBI and police requests. Though what they expect to get from Facebook postings is unclear. No terrorist in his right mind has a Facebook page or posts their attack plans on the site. The only really useful information is the range of contacts that they might have. |

Only some of the information. If the user is using an SSL connection, then they can't tap into that, they don't have access to the private key on the SSL certificate, so they can't listen in, they can only get the meta data (IP address, routing information and time). There is only so much they can do with the fibre splitter, that isn't full access to the whole database. Plus it is only a few countries, mainly the US and UK, that are tapping the lines. |

I don't know about SSL and so on, but Prism is said to give direct access to servers in real time http://www.theguardian.com/world/2013/j ... s-nsa-data Either way, it's just totally wrong. |

They cannot even acknowledge prism so it is not Prism that is at fault for these data requests. It would seem to be Police forces and FBI equivalents. I suspect that it might be down to threats from trolls so that could easily make up the numbers without much difficulty. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD |
