Now there is a clever man - I ahve thought about it but thought the cost of an 0871 number would be a lot mre than £10

I saw this last night and was mega-impressed by it.

I have been reading about it on the Guardian. I found one place that sells 0871 numbers only £5 but £5 monthly. It looks like I need to look harder. I get very few such calls but if it is free once set up it might be worth considering. It would end all the sales calls, it might take time to become truly effective, as more and more companies get the 0871 number given to them by a customer. It is a brilliant piece of lateral thinking. I only hope that Ofcom do not outlaw this revenge tactic. The fact that he makes money from it is an aside. It might actually pay him to string them along at 10p a minute. Though to get £300 back he must have had a lot of calls.

We sell such numbers, but usually on the basis of a minimum number of calls per month. They're free if you guarantee a lot of traffic. You can redirect them to wherever you want, including SIP so you can always take the number with you.
