My network is Three so get it already as part of the Ofcom deal. I may not be in a 4G area yet but it does not really worry me. 3G is pretty good speed near me. The prices need to be sensible to encourage uptake.

I've got 18 months left on my contract and my phone will be good for a year or two after that. So I should be ready for a new 4G phone just about when it's available nationwide.

I think uptake will be decided by coverage not price. If the coverage is as poor outside city centres as 3G coverage is, then many people won't bother.

It only needs coverage where you use it. Since I am home most of the time that is more important than coverage everywhere. Even so I only have found one 3G blackspot miles out of town in the middle of the countryside.

I get really good speeds where I live of 13 Mbps and a few hundred yards away it climbs to 19 Mbps on 3G. 4G might be great but I still think that the black spots needed to be fixed first.
