Apparently it was a throw-away line from John Kerry that was accepted as an idea from the Americans and the Russians accepted it and so it does actually suit everyone. The Russians can keep the Americans out, the Syrians do not get attacked by the US and the Americans get to avoid a war that the public did not actually want. |
