The fake hysteria will soon die off altogether and good riddance. That multi-billion dollar industry is going nowhere.

Interestingly I found that I agreed with the youngsters on this. I think that while it might be a problem with young children these games are not aimed at children and they should not be played by them.

Good, once the stigma wears off properly maybe we can get a little more variety in video games than "man with gun slaughters aliens/Russians/Middle Easterns", or whatever the current taboo enemy type is.

No longer Chinese as they will be the next big market. It looks like the Baddies will be the Brits. ;)

There's already a subculture of games made and sold in the Arabic nations where the bad guys are American. Not just something your fanatical jihadi consumes either, they're professionally and expensively produced affairs that sell in affluent high streets and shopping malls.

Actually I can fully understand that. It is more of a regional game. I was thinking of world wide sales. China and Russia are big potential clients, and in movies there are already brit baddies. It used to be the baddies wore black hats and the goodies wore white. Now if he speaks with an English accent he is a baddie.

Following Hollywood, the Brits always play the bad guys, ham it up and steal the show from the American hero cast.

Indeed. Alan Rickman was a master at doing that.
