Dairy Milk hasn't tasted 'right' for years, but that's true of a lot of stuff you buy now. Even something as simple as a Kellog's cereal!

Isn't it slightly more plausible that Cadbury's are lying about not changing the recipe?

I bought a 100gm bar of Green and Blacks for £1.50 in Sainsburys' yesterday. Paying the same I could have got 200gm of Dairy Milk. You will notice I didn't.

I like Kellogs cereal although Special K hasn't been the same since they changed the size of it

I would have thought that they have changed the recipe to cope with price changes in key commodities. Though when you look at how much salt and sugar there are in the Kellogg's cereals you wonder if you would ever notice any change in taste. Nowadays I eat the value cereals and while there is a taste difference they are more than acceptable to eat. _________________Do concentrate, 007... "You are gifted. I have not eaten brand cereals for more than 5 years. The supermarket own brands or value brands are perfectly acceptable, for me at least. As for the own brand clones of Frosties or Rice Crispies they have loads of sugar as well. If they are now coated with some nano technology to "enhance" the taste I am at least not getting impacted!  _________________Do concentrate, 007... "You are gifted. I was reading this earlier. I accept that shape, texture etc will affect the experience of any food item. What I don't believe is the claim that Cadbury's have not changed their recipe. All of their chocolate incl the likes of twirl and flake also taste differently.

I suspect the recipe has not changed, but they are sourcing the ingredients from a different supplier.
One ingredient is "Vegetable fat". That usually means palm oil, it could now be GM soya or any other greasier product.

In terms of chocolate bars, no, shape doesn't alter taste, at least not with me.
The article in the OP states chocolate melting in the mouth at different rates due to the shape change ... chocolate isn't in my mouth long enough to melt before I take to munching down on it.
Also, I'm anosmic, so that particular effect doesn't alter my perception of what I'm eating.

Ture but its now thier "premium" range - just like Tesco ahve a Value, normal and Premium range - all are say Burgers but the ingredients (amount of Horse  ) being different

I didn't realise G&B was owned by cadburys until I went to cadbury's world. I suspect cadbury's put vegetable oil on the label but they damn well know which brand/type/source is used.
