I didn't know about the way they were funded in Germany until you mentioned it previously, no wonder people are peed off.

I read that if you say you are a catholic in Germany they tax you a bit more - what is the extra tax and is it just added to your income tax bill

Denmark has an optional religious tax. Not finiancially significant when compared to other taxes but it is popular.
