And the Irish politicians in the south have never been shy about sticking the boot in for their own ends, Gerry's position not helped with him getting mouthy about the southern economy. |

In the south Sinn Fein have been regarded as a bit of a joke, but with the failure of the main parties Sinn Fein were always going to do better since the financial crisis. The fact that Gerry Adams is denying it is to be expected, though I wonder how much more evidence they have against him. It could also lead to laws to exclude former terrorists from any political posts. That might hamper their efforts when the South holds more elections. |
