Weird thing is I can't bring him to mind but I can bring to mind someone doing an impression of his rather broad Northern Irish accent. |

Spitting Image had him down to a t. I can remember his reporting as being worth listening to. Something to be said for his sharp analysis and precise use of language |

There's an impressionist over here who used to impersonate him, so with his voice in your head it'd be, 'John Cole here, right, let's get down to it for f**ksake'

I remember seeing him in a interview after he left the Beeb saying he left Northern Ireland because nothing ever happened.... He was concise and articulate,well worth listening too. yours wecrookie
