Hardly a shock that a theatre critic is gay. It might actually make it a requirement.

So the photos were taken by someone else two decades ago, and posted by someone else on a site that can only be accessed if you pay for it.

Plus I doubt anyone would have noticed if the paper hasn't sacked him. They've effectively brought themselves into disrepute.

Desmond's papers specialise in three things - blaming immigrants for stuff; prudish hypocrisy; and losing wrongful dismissal cases. This is a mere twofer, unless he was blowing an Arab in those photos.
