This was purely political. Can't have plebs interfering with the activities of the politicians former universities! Most of the cabinet probably went to Oxbridge and did PPE.

It was a stupid thing to do. I was not condoning what he did. The political reaction was extreme. To deport a protester without a prior criminal record says so much about our free speech.
