Just so long as it doesn't get falsely touted as 'it worked over there!', I've seen enough of that sh1te already in my lifetime from plastic bag taxes to education.

I don't see what is wrong with the idea of importing something that works elsewhere. Especially this idea, which should work equally well or otherwise more or less anywhere.
