This sort of spiteful tribal nasty and wilfull misrepresentation is the real problem with UK politics. There's no room for decent people in there because vile twats crowd out all useful input. That's why you all end up with the politicians you deserve, alas the rest of us have to put up with them too. Thanks to you.
Incidentally, what you presented appears to be something quite unique in my experience - a pair of inappropriately connected false syllogisms, forming a deformed hatrick of [LIFTED] logic.
Your reasoning appears to be:
The Tory idea was rejected, the Tories want to resurrect the idea, therefore the Tories only have one idea.
That only works if you insert an additional "only" somewhere into that argument (either their only idea was spiked, or their next manifesto will only have the spiked idea)
And a second one which interprets as:
The Tories don't agree with the Liberals, The Tories do agree with their manifesto, therefore everything the Liberals reject is perfect for the Tory manifesto.
That could be a problem if the Liberals reject something else, like the Labour manifesto, or Satan and some of his more important works.
Either way, even if they weren't awful in their own right, causally linking them to each other would still be an act of war against reason itself as neither can entail the other.
