Hopefully there will be other courts that will redress this. Maybe the US courts might be asked to look at it? |

I think it's fairly clear that in this case the judge himself wants them to appeal and to win. At least in as much as to win the right to present their case. This one will no doubt go all the way to the supreme court for a constitutional ruling. It would have done whichever decision he made. As I understand it, State Doctrine is supposed to stop one country's courts seizing international jurisdiction over another state by passing judgement on foreign governments. As the guy is suing UK agencies on the grounds that they broke UK laws on behalf of the British state, it seems like he ought to win. |
