Is Putin worried about his legacy? We know he stirs racial and social tension for short term gain, but I find it hard to believe he's that worried about the Winter Olympics.

I suspect he is worried about the Olympics. They've already said they were setting aside areas for protesters at the Olympics. He's perhaps trying to reduce the number of things people can protest about in the run up to the games. It'll be interesting to see if, for example, Pussy Riot remain out of jail once the Olympics and the associated media circus have departed.

Did they ever find the missing member of Pussy Riot who somehow disappeared in the prison system there?
