That has to be an inside job. It has been decades since I used a cash point but they do not have USB slots in or do they? Certainly not for the public to access.

No, it's internal, they cut their way in. I'm assuming the ATMs have a USB port for firmware or whatever.

Years ago one of the local Barclays had the equivalent of an intern loading up cash machines, which they underfilled and spent the difference. It was only when people complained that there was never enough money in the machines did they discover what he had been doing. He spent £60 000. :oops:

Not really and you have to admire the initiative of what was a school leaver. He probably runs a bank now. :lol:
