The scale of conjecture is what bugs me there, and let's be honest, we're doing next to fcuk all globally as a preventative measure anyway.

The plan was to limit the rise to 2C now they have clearly abandoned all that as an aspiration. :(

The phraseology they're using is (in PR terms) utterly useless. The people who have power to change are mostly in their 40's or later, telling them something terrible is going to happen when their grandchildren will be pensioners isn't going to get you anywhere. Most of them can't see beyond the next election. let alone several generations. Tell them something awful is going to happen to them, or at worst their children as they grow up, or you're wasting your time.

I agree, but then I am far greener than most people my age. My waste is very low, carbon footprint is a fraction of a typical UK resident, food waste almost non existent, yet many older people simply do not care, they will not be around when these problems strike and probably feel that there will be enough problems for their descendants to deal with such as no jobs, worthless pensions and massive debts to think that they worry about having a habitable planet to live on.

The politicians need to get their act together though with the corrupting nature of how our politicians are funded they will most likely ignore us. State funding is not an option, that is even worse.
