The Guardian's maybe putting a little too much emphasis on what he actually said, but it wasn't his greatest day in a studio either.

Quote:
However, the Ukip leader defended his comments from a speech last week, saying the gap in pay between men and women was just "the way the world works" because of biology.

Not good. He should know how that'll be presented whatever he meant, and it'd be hard to defend it anyway.

Quote:
Ukip leader says all policies are under review and he will not commit to new ones until after European elections

Wouldn't it be reasonable to know what a party stands for before an election?

They only have two policies. Leave Europe; and pretend like the 21st Century won't happen to you if click your heels and wish really hard.

So there you have it. This forum contains approximately one UKIP voter, and even he couldn't give a fcuk what the party stands for beyond a single defining policy.

Two.
I want to leave the EU, so I vote for them at EU elections.
I wouldn't dream of wasting my vote on them at something important like a general election though. I wouldn't trust them with real power.

Three, I agree with tighter border control and control of immigration as well as leaving the EU.
I also wouldn't vote for them in a general election.

After disowning the entire collection of policies, he told LBC 97.3 that they were put together by Ukip's then policy chief, David Campbell Bannerman, who is now a Conservative MEP.

Nigel Farage calls for UK gun laws to be relaxed

http://www.theguardian.com/politics/201 ... ws-relaxed

I can't remember for the life of me if there was a fuss when the law was changed :| , and with that, other than a target practice meet-up why would you need a handgun? :?

Would either of you guys say that UKIP is taking your vote away from the Tories when they do get it?

No, I wouldn't say that. I don't really see the EU elections as important, so they're not taking away a serious vote. It's a pointless protest vote in a pointless election.
At general elections they don't take away my tory vote as I wouldn't trust UKIP with real power. I like their main policy, but that's all I like. A lot of their members seems to be racist bigots. Also as the Tories are the only real electable alternative to Labour, voting UKIP would increase the changes of Labour winning. I wouldn't want to help that.
