I do not think that it will have any impact on voter participation. They have enough other things to keep them occupied at that age. Though I do think that they should be entitled to vote. |

Personally I think it should stick at 18. 18 is the age of adulthood. Most things revolve around being 18. Drinking, smoking, gambeling, fighting on the front lines. I doubt it will be long before the health and safety brigade raise the driving age to 18. 16 year old used to be allowed to work, but now they have to stay in education until they're 18. There's no reason to change the age for voting. |

Yes but I think that those less academically inclined will come out of the system completely disillusioned. I would prefer that they are allowed to do vocational courses earlier and so if they drop out of academic subjects at 14 but stay on an apprenticeship till 18 is a good alternative. Since they are working why shouldn't they vote? |
