In theory sounds good, but we do know that GCHQ will be tapping the cables on behalf of the NSA. So all rather a waste of money. Ultimately if we all start encrypting everything then the spy agencies will struggle to keep up. They actually might have to be more targeted at those of interest rather than everyone.
