FFS, if he was basing this on something tangible fair enough, but it all reads like the headline-grabber he's being accused of. And I can't help thinking that it's about the much wider issue of ostracization in society; if you're not running with the herd, who are you?

How about the Christians who teach their kids creationism? Or that gays will go to hell? or that women's place is at home?
Stop hitting on the visible minorities

Or those being exposed ton extreme Marxism? Or extreme Capitalism?

It’s an idiotic thing for him to say, and plays nicely into the UKIP/BNP mindset.

I've had the "chance" of going to a catholic integrist mass once. [LIFTED] weirdos.

I saw a program last night were Boris was justifying some pretty retrograde stuff on the basis of what was, by any other name, 'trickle down economics'. I think someone who may possibly *shudder* once be our Prime Minister believing that pile of fetid dingo's kidneys is much worse for us as a society than what religious people may or may not tell their children.

Trickle down has been completely discredited as a policy but they have not learnt that one yet.

It was probably deemed that he could do far less damage in politics than he could in business or overseas affairs.
