Nick Clegg and Nigel Farage are to go head-to-head on BBC television in a debate on Britain's future in Europe.

The hour-long debate will be shown on BBC2 from 7pm on Wednesday, 2 April, and will be hosted by David Dimbleby.

Mr Clegg's Liberal Democrats are the most pro-EU of the main parties at Westminster, while Mr Farage's UKIP advocates withdrawing from the EU.

Top marks for the BBC for choosing one of the more deranged Farage pictures in their library.

I’ll probably be watching this, but, really, it’s going to be two people arguing from very entrenched positions. It’s always worth watching Farage for his blusterings when he gets cornered, but I can’t help thinking it will do more harm than good.

Pity it won't turn into a Harry Hill style fight.

Which is better, UKIP or Lim Dem? There's only one way to find out.............

Chainsaw deathmatch!

I'd pay to watch that.
