I was not saying that there is an excuse. This is what the women said when they were questioned about attacking their boyfriends. Violence within a relationship is unacceptable no matter who starts it. I agree with you about who should be informed. A part of the problem is that the police for a long time did not treat domestic violence seriously and so the list will be far too short of those that are a real threat to their potential partners.
