Kiddie said "snarling" Ms Reed bit his finger and said she had the Aids virus.

So you thought punching her would be a good idea?

Quote:
Kiddie's defence counsel, Ben Brandon, told the court the officer would be dismissed from the Metropolitan Police as a result of the court's findings.

Even the Met recognises a nightmare when a bloody court doesn't!

He should be sacked, stripped of his pension and gone to gaol for assault. No excuse.

Quote:
Judge Roscoe, sentencing Kiddie to a 150-hour community order, said she accepted his actions had been "an instinctive and immediate retaliation in anger".

Definitely not the sort of person you want in the police.

Fair enough.

That I don't agree with. People have earned that over years, decades even, often paying into it themselves. It's unfair to take it away. Feel free to increase other punishments in lieu of that though.

Generally I could accept that but if you look at his history he was a problem even some years ago. He should have been sacked then. His pension for the years that he screws up should go to victim support. Imagine if we did this for bankers? Fred the Shred would not be sitting at home with a £600 000 pension but having to work instead.
