Unlike the last Labour government, which was absolutely delighted with Aunty Beeb, and never took any action to persecute her.

The BBC rattled a few cages which contained some ugly beasts when Labour was in power. I always thought it was their job to do such things. Sadly, they seem to have less zeal in such matters than before.

I think the fact that the head of the Trust (think that's his position) is a former chair of the Conservative party. Just the complete absence of reporting on the breaking up of the NHS shows just how soft they are being.

It does talk about the NHS, but always in terms that are “government friendly”.

It’s Chris Patton who is chairman of the BBC Trust. He was Conservative Party chairman.
