http://www.computerandvideogames.com/45 ... eave-fast/ I could well believe it. Some of the games are truly dire, but the controls are the real problem. And two crap games in a row and you'll probably never buy another game again! Even a truly weak DS game is usually still playable. |

It is usually the first 2 minutes for me. I have one game on my Lumina, which I first downloaded on my htc Mozart in 2010 and 1 game on my GS3, which I first downloaded in 2012. Both are logic based 'board' games, as opposed to action. I only play them occasionally. I have downloaded maybe another 20 games over the years, but I have probably only played3 or 4 of them for more than a few minutes. |

The problem with arcade like games on tablets and mobiles is that various attempts to crowbar console like controllers into the UI. However, I expect that the elephant in the room is the in app purchase model when your progress is related to the purchase of in game currencies.
Hmm - so the majority of people playing games don’t buy the “gems” or whatever they are called, but clearly a significant amount is made from games to make it a viable model. |
