For all we know, judging as we are from such a perspective, he might actually have been a great personality.
It doesn't make what he did as part of his military career any less reprehensible, but he might've been a good laugh when he wasn't committing acts of genocide. *shrug*

I was thinking more, 'Christ, laugh like it's the funniest thing you've ever heard!', though I take your point. Apparently weapons-grade arseholes like McGuinness and Paisley are a great laugh.

Great? I don't know.

But like many dictators and general "bad guys" over the centuries, he was very charismatic and he knew how to bring his point of view over in a way that would be accepted by many.

Does this make him any less evil? No.

That said, in the context given here, it seems "typical" right wing neo-national socialistic diatribe.
