Wow, apparently the U-2 is still actually listed as 'in service'. Given they gave away the SR-71s, I'm amazed it's predecessor is still flying. |

The SR71 is a gas guzzler. It leaks fuel when cold and only tightens up at supersonic speeds. It is a wonderful plane but it is just not economical. Sent from my Nokia Lumia 1020 using Tapatalk |

Weird fuel too. The consistency of treacle and corrosive at room temperature I was told.
Well neither is the U-2 compared to a drone or a satellite pass but then I'm not sure the DoD or CIA have the same economic considerations as the rest of us.. |
