Interesting article. There needs to be light regulation on them (no sales to under 18's, quality control in factories) and further research but not bundling them as tobacco is important. With cigarettes it's the delivery system that's flawed as it introduces toxins, changing the delivery system for nicotine makes things a lot safer |

This properly unanswered question is of concern to me:
http://www.nhs.uk/news/2013/06june/page ... aping.aspx The site also goes on with this: [quote]What are the other concerns? Because e-cigarettes can be smoked in public places such as bars, restaurants and public transport, some people feel they may be normalising what has come to be seen as an unacceptable activity. Also, some argue that e-cigarettes (with their flavourings and clever marketing) are a ‘gateway to smoking’ for children and teenagers, encouraging them to smoke when they wouldn’t otherwise take up the habit.[quote] Did anyone say that hey smell vile? There are a couple of places in town that are demonstrating these things, and the odour is horrible. If you can smell it, then more than just water is being exhaled, and as we don't fully know the health implications to those who are passive vapers, then we surely have to assume the worst. |

Quick ban something arguably safer than the activity it is replacing by several orders of magnitude because of ignorance and an ideology that is based on the premise of quit or die. |
