Certainly I've heard bad things about HFCS. Interestingly, fructose comes in a 1:1 ratio with glucose in honey. In the past, HFCS was used as "filler" in honey so less of the natural product was used.

In America I believe they are now allowed to label HFCS as sugar. That was certainly the plan a couple of years back.

It is cheaper and doesn't affect the taste dramatically, so the producers wanted to sneak it in the backdoor.

That proposal was rejected. Sometimes even "in America" bad and stupid things don't happen.

Good to know. When I was following the argument, it seemed to be a foregone conclusion, but I missed the vote and it all went quiet.
