The abuse she's gotten for doing so just shows how narrow minded some on the right of the Yes campaign are. |

I meant on the fringes, but I typed right. I also recognise there are some who support the Yes campaign that have a similar attitude. |

There's a bunch of people, generally nicknamed 'cybernats', who have gained a reputation of going completely over the top online when any public figure says or does anything that might somehow be construed as not entirely positive to the 'yes' campaign. And I mean properly 'these people are unhinged and might be dangerous' over the top. They're kind of well known if you follow the debate online and even the 'yes' campaign have long since adopted the attitude of "you're not helping, shut the hell up" but they carry on. There doesn't appear to be the same group of borderline loonies attached to the 'no' campaign, or at least I've never seen any evidence of them. I don't think anyone would be daft enough to think they're representative of the 'yes' campaign but they are, I think, harming the debate because they drown out the reasonable 'yes' campaigners and they give the 'no' campaign a stick to beat their opposition with. |
