I don't know about those, I don't like Stella anyway, but there are some draft largers I like more than others e.g. Nastro Azzuro, Budweiser (only on tap), Staropramen. I'm not sure I could distinguish between say Carling and Fosters.

Quality of Draught beer depends massively on storage and cleanliness of the whole pub apparatus. I usually don't drink lager, mostly craft beer or Pils

Stella tastes like the remnants of Fairy Liquid that hasn't been washed off a plate properly.

I have to agree with them - I generally drink "Real Beer" and find most (all) mainstream lagers all taste the same/ very similar

Surely a large part of it is that most lagers are served at such a low temperature that it interferes with the function of the taste buds? And that even if they actually were different, the act of drinking them makes it impossible for you to tell that they are?

Not really, it's sweeter and less carbonated (or the bubbles are smaller so it's not as noticible). It's got a completely different mouth feel :P

That said I'll stick to proper beer, less refrigeration the better as it tastes the same every time at room temp!

I think that's the thing, the majority of lagers I've had in the past have all been really cold and I can't distinguish much difference between them. A real ale on the other hand has nuances that you would miss if it was held at -5C or whatever it is.
