its because Heathrow runs at 98% capacity on a normal day so even a small increase in the spacing between flights causes delays / cancellations

I know that, we live under the flight path. still not used to seeing a plane take off every minute.

People needed rescuing from a cable car in Cologne. A few blown down trees and it is moving further south today.
