Wow, is Soames still going? He was our Tory rep when I was still at school! :shock:

And the 7.1 million is just a nonsensical headline grabber...

I agree, someone like Hendry earning money for directorships in the energy industry could be seen as a conflict of interest - I would hope that the committee had looked at what contracts those companies had "won" during his term as energy minister, for example.
