I agree with him, and not just because it's a reprehensible show full stop.

Sorry. I might me worried about larger more intelegent animals, but cockroaches and ants? Couldn't care less.

I'd be happy for them to end abuse to the general public and just cancel the whole thing.

More mindless bollox masquerading as quality programming.

I disagree. I don't recall anyone claiming that this particular TV show was quality programming.

As far as I'm aware it's cheap and cheerful entertainment for the masses. Millions of people tune in ever week, (not me, by the way) so I'm guessing that, on some level, they must be getting it right.

I suspect it's anything but cheap, frankly. I suspect it makes a massive profit due to the idiot masses phoning premium lines to express impetuous hatred of people they don't actually know but I have a feeling it costs an absolute fortune to make. Live TV broadcasts from across the globe aren't done for pennies, for one thing.

I think it's towards the circus end of bread & circuses...

I meant cheap and cheerful as a way of saying it's not exactly Shakespeare. It's just telly and the general public don't generally give a [LIFTED] about paying however much it is to keep our evict their favourite celeb.
