The US programme was stopped after 10 weeks because of concerns over its safety, and the Government paid out millions of dollars in compensation to those affected.

This explains the protection the US is giving pharmaceutical companies this time.

Yes it is, TBH I just didn't expect the vaccination to be this dangerous. Plus plans to give drug companies immunity in this way really worries me.

Now I don’t know what to do. I’m confused.

Its letter refers to the use of a swine flu vaccine in the United States in 1976, when 25 people died from GBS, while just one died from swine flu.

Emphasis mine. How many vaccinated? Is the 2009 vaccine the same as the 1976 variety?

The company doing the vaccine in the USA is the one that did the Avian Flu jab a couple of years back. hey had serious problems with compensation claims for side effects, hence the immunity this time. :?

This explains the protection the US is giving pharmaceutical companies this time.

Quote:
On October 1, 1988, the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986 (Public Law 99-660) created the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP). The VICP was established to ensure an adequate supply of vaccines, stabilize vaccine costs, and establish and maintain an accessible and efficient forum for individuals found to be injured by certain vaccines. The VICP is a no-fault alternative to the traditional tort system for resolving vaccine injury claims that provides compensation to people found to be injured by certain vaccines

All there doing is putting the swine flu vaccine on the VICP list, otherwise no vaccine manufacturer would allow it to leave the testing site. Over the years in the USA due to the litigious nature of people who have claimed (rightfull and wrongfully) that a vaccine has damaged them, the potential risk outweighed any beneift for the makers so they started to stop. Obviously this was not a good idea so the US government gives indemnity to manufactures if they produce certain vaccines.

Haven't I been saying this for over a month now guys??

Don't have the freakin' vaccine!!!!! Everyone gave me their "I'm at risk coz of asthma" and I said, "so am I, but so what". The whole idea of vaccination is a little disturbing if you think about it, but this one is particularly special.

Paul, you of all people must appreciate what the government(s) are trying to do here?

Swine flu, my arse.

Worry about catching everything and you'll die from a heart attack.
