I love the fact this is being announced as a '300 billion euro investment plan', when in fact it's a 12 billion euro investment plan with a 280 billion euro begging bowl attached to it.

It's worse than that, apparently they plan to guarantee the return on any private investment. It's PPI scaled up to the whole of Europe. Madness.

Invest in something - if it makes a profit you get to keep it, if it makes a loss the taxpayer bales you out

Hmm wonder if I can set up a co, pay myself an astronomical wage , have it fail and then get the EU to give me back my money
