Er, wasn't there problems with everything from notebook entries to false police statements? None of it sounded very spur of the moment, especially notebook entries :?

Ah, you have a rotten day and then something comes along to cheer you right up. Now if we can just get Grant Schapps caught in some sort of tabloid scandal and into bankruptcy, the world will be a sunnier place.

He was on a panel show I wanted to watch recently and as a result I didn't - he's one of those politicians who actually makes my skin crawl (see also Hunt and Miliband).
