Thing is he's not actually resigned, he's just stepped down from one level of court and is still sitting in a couple of others. He's still a practicing judge in any practical sense of the word. |

i am not defending this judge in any way, shape or form, but ... if the persons name was 'smith' instead of 'patel' would his statement have been considered racist or derogatory ? ... |

No, but then it would have been utterly nonsensical. If, for example, he'd said 'With a name like O'leary she'd surely have been busy digging roads' or 'With a name like McDonald you certainly wouldn't expect her to pay for a taxi' it would have been equally as unacceptable. Jon |

i believe that the comments of the judge in this case is a testament of how the ruling classes view the rest of us 'smith', 'patel' or 'singe' it makes no difference we are packaged into the same pigeon hole by those that think they are better then us because they have the power of control not racist but derogatory to each and everyone of us ... |
