Relationships are key, even if you had all-female units. 'Cohesion' is code for 'shagging and the shady aftermath'; destructive in police forces, it has the potential to be literally lethal in the military.

i thought they showed there were pyschological problems with the blokes being protective of the women and hence them being a greater target for the enemy.

I'm all for equality as long as the measurements for combat readiness aren't lowered..
