Secured? Yes, it took the devilish skills of a two year to defeat that security. |

The NRA probably believe that all it needed was a good two year old with a sidearm to prevent this tragedy. |

Dear America Your gun laws are stupid Regards The rest of the world.
Bollocks! They were wrong in leaving a loaded lethal weapon in an unlocked glove box that was in the reach of children. They should be prosecuted to serve as a warning to other parents to take gun security seriously. If it saves even one child in the future it would be worth it. Obviously I feel sorry for the parents, but this wasn't an accident, there is someone to blame, and it's the parents themselves. |

No wrong doing? Why was the gun in an unsecured glove box? Why wasn't it in a gun safe? Especially if you have kids! The parents are guilty of death through negligence or something like that, I would say. |

Agreed. In pretty much any country with half an ounce of sense leaving a loaded firearm where someone - especially a child - can get it, with the almost inevitable consequences, would be considered manslaughter through negligence or similar. Serious jail time. I imagine they're going through hell to be fair. They may never get over it but the fact is until the population of the US starts treating guns with the respect they deserve, this is going to keep happening. |

At least the children have been taken into care and they are considering charges of negligence in this case. |
