Oh God

As I read somewhere recently "Have you noticed the only time we hear about anyone in UKIP other than NIgel Farage it's because they've said something monumentally stupid".

Wasn't the Nazi idea of the NHS injecting deadly chemicals into the stomachs of Jews and disabled people?

Yet again UKIP are showing they're a bunch of unelectable morons.

Not that it really matters, he's patently an idiot, but are the remarks from 2010? Anyway, he probably thought he'd get away with it and it's what the Yanks would have wanted to hear

Right, so the big problem with the Nazi party was they had too many middle managers? Really?

probably but i wasn’t around at that time
but the problem with the NHS at this time is to many managers/management sucking the system dry

the management who have so much weight in decision making via numbers (numbers greater then front line staff) within the NHS then create a form of fascism
as the management will try and control all aspects of the NHS to protect themselves against any outside interference, including Govt. and broker no internal interference from the staff that they manage as they dictate to staff as opposed to cooperate with them (you will do as ordered or lose your job)

mid staffs, NHS wales, abuse of waiting times A&E, abuse of LCP, hounding and abuse of whistle-blowers and many other aspects of their control have shown
(that’s just scratching the surface as it goes far deeper)

when any organization believes it is or has become greater then the electors representatives (Govt.) then that organisation has become fascist

fascism = total dictatorial control - aka the NHS management ...

You should vote UKIP, they are the only people who can match your wisdom.

Homicidal megalomania was the problem with the Nazi party.

And the parliamentary bunker? Really? Really? Why didn't he go the whole hog and compare the NHS to Dachau or Auschwitz?

And, at its beginning, the National Socialist regime was about efficiency and getting the country back on its feet, which it did very effectively... It just went downhill from there as Hitler's homicidal madness gained control.

A couple of years ago, when Farrage was working in Brussels, he made a lot of very good attacks on the leaders of the EU Parliament, but he and the party seem to have gone off the rails as they try and grab local, UK seats. I wouldn't want to see him in a position of real power.

The Reichstag bunker was the place where a group of die-hard fantasists hid to avoid confronting the failure of their enterprise in spite of the additional pointless suffering their refusal to surrender caused for the people they were supposed to represent. This is the aspect he was alluding to, not the naziness of them. Nero fiddling while Rome burned; the Jonestown Kool Aid; the charge of the Light Brigade; shuffling deckchairs on the Titanic and so on are more accurate alternatives. His claim being (so far as I can see) that the NHS is doomed in some way by internal contradictions.

You (all of you, except Rogers) should be too sophisticated to be drawn into this dog-whistle reactionary nonsense. His reference to the Nazis was tangential and highly specific. This is a story of a low quality newspaper using keywords to inflame opinion among the unthinking horde that reads their rag.

You are wrong on every specific there. The Nazis weren't very efficient (the German army and industries were, but the Nazis themselves were organisationally dysfunctional from day one). Furthermore, the worst of the hardship had passed before they achieved power, but on the eve of war Germany was also on the verge of insolvency due to a debt-fuelled investment binge that rendered unproductive assets (tanks etc). Nazi ideology was not gradually hijacked by Hitler's homicidal madness; it was characterised by instrumental violence from the moment of its inception, which was expressed in vicious action every single day.
