Blu-Tac being the traditional fix for problems with our home-grown computers (thinks: ZX81 RAM Pack wobble).

I used screws and superglue, personally. I made a wooden base for the ZX81 and screwed it onto the base, along with the external keyboard. The RAM Pack was then superglued into place on the base.

That actually survived a fall from my desk onto the floor without suffering a RAM-pack wobble crash!

The fix that worked for me was really, really simple. I read in a Sinclair magazine that the RAM bard was actually folded in half to fit in the case. When the RAM Pack wobbled it could cause the two halves to touch and you’d get a short. If you opened it up and slid a piece of plastic between the halves, when the RAM Pack wobbled, there was insulation. So that‘s what I did, and it seemed to help cut the wobble problems down considerably.

I couldn't afford the Sinclair one, I had a BigByte 16K RAM Pack.

PC Pro have reported that it is the power supply U16 that is causing the problems - Xeon flash or laser light.
