Neither party has done a worthwhile fcuking thing about tax avoidance of course. Ed's great contribution so far is getting a registry together and allowing it to continue :roll:

If they have been helping people evade taxes, the fine will be a lot more than 5 million.

Fcuk off and hang yourself. Green has been up to his neck in it for years, including overseeing money laundering for drug dealers and terrorists. Didn't stop the Tory-led coalition making him a Lord and an unpaid 'Minister of State for Trade and Investment' either! Cameron has consistently found roles for him - it's jobs for the boys but at a full-on criminal level, as we're now seeing.

This bit genuinely gets my goat. Yes, he's given great service to 'the city' - and, let's not forget, been paid a humungous amount of cash to do it - but he's done absolutely feck all for 'his country'. He's not served in sodding Iraq has he? There are squaddies earning £20k a year who have done a hundred times what he ever has for 'his country'. There's not one iota of 'duty' in anything he's been asked to do. Apart from anything else, he could have made a much bigger service to his country by making sure his clients paid their sodding taxes.

Considering the money we've given to the banks for 'lending' and the other billions we don't even collect, potentially pissing a few million up the wall as an experiment is worth a shot.
