Is no one trying (like they did when it was 1st switched on) to stop them this time due to the possibility of black holes etc ?

I suspect that as we're all still here after the first time there's somewhat more confidence in the scientist who say there won't be black holes so it's a bit less fun as a 'we're all doomed' story for the papers.
Or the people worried last time have all be assassinated by Brian Cox. Don tinfoil hat and pick a side. :D
