Well, the actual prosecutions aren't his job, no. And thank god for that, because someone of his mental acuity would plainly be an absolutely useless lawyer. His job is to define the policy by which the HMRC form the rules which define whether something is evasion or not. So his job is definitely to define whether someone is evading tax or not. And to change the policy to have an effect on the people or corporations who are. |
