Google could change the way you shop with this one button | TechRadar

I do use Google Shopping and have sometimes clicked through and bought stuff, but not without research into everything from the actual p+p costs to whether or not the site is based in the UK or wherever it purports to be (there's a reason it looks a bargain, usually). Also, Google Shopping can be extremely limited in terms of shops when you search for items, especially particular items. It's all very much buyer beware, and you'd be mad to just purchase quickly even if the seller was Amazon ffs.

Given that Goolge Shopping is one of the major sticking points with the EU Monopolies Commission, I doubt it will appear in Europe any time soon.

I must admit, I've never noticed a shopping tab, just that their results have become more and more links to shopping sites. Every time I search for help with a product, a review or the handbook, I have to wade through pages of articles for sale before I find anything relevant.

Google, here is a hint: If I am search for help with a product or searching for the handbook, chances are I've already bought the blasted thing and the last thing I want / need is links to buy another one!

Given that most people don't use Google shopping regardless at the moment....
